Compensation Range:

$39.00 to $45.00 an hour (Depending on Experience)

We are looking for Lead Consulting Utility Foresters, also known as Contract Vegetation Program Managers or Vegetation Program Leads to join our team!

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Lead vegetation management operations, project teams, emergency response, and outside contractor work performance.

Contact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning and/or removals.

Conduct tree and brush inventories.

Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.

Plan work for tree contractors.

Manage data.

Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work area.

Enforce on-the-job safety practices.

Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment at work site.

Service trucks and equipment, keep trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion.

Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in forestry or related field and/or a minimum of two (2) years' experience in utility line clearance or species identification skills and invasive species knowledge, plus knowledge of tree growth rates.

The VPL shall have four (4) years of job-related experience with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, as a team leader or project leader.

The VPL shall have a minimum of Two (2) years of experience in emergency response and/or hazard tree removal projects along utility rights of way.

The CVPM shall exhibit supervisory capabilities and be familiar with the Contractor's work practices.

Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months upon job offer.

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Strong verbal and written communications skills.

Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather.

Proficient in map navigation skills.

Experience with Microsoft Office and data collection software (GIS experience a plus).
