OCI is built from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications, enterprise-grade security, and unparalleled availability and scalability.As a senior people leader in the OCI Reliability group, you will be driving the creation of services ensuring the highest level of availability and reliability for OCI services and customers. If you have a passion for solving difficult ambiguous problems in a collaborative, agile work environment, and strong technical experience leading teams, come and join us!This role is based in Pacific Time Zone (US West), due to requirement to work closely with other teams and stakeholders across the globe.ResponsibilitiesLead a team owning complex systems with high scalability, performance, and security.Partner with other development teams responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing solutions within a distributed computing environment.Provide technical leadership to a team of engineers.Take the product through architecture and design reviews with senior technical leaders.Define the future of services used daily by both customers and internal teams.Plan, design, and execute delivery roadmap for complex, highly technical tools and services in the Cloud.Manage organizational structure, headcount planning, recruiting targets, and performance management.Attract and retain high-value talent.Advocate for change and influence geographically distributed cross-functional teams.Drive performant, scalable, and forward-thinking solutions to completion on time.Engage with stakeholders and influence business leaders.Minimum Qualifications7+ years people management and/or lead experience with at least 2+ years leading an organization.Experienced leader and exemplary manager of software engineering teams.Experience in the problem space of Service / Cloud Reliability and Incident Management.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education.Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.Proven track record of successfully shipping new products in an agile environment.Demonstrated technical domain knowledge in System Design of public Cloud technologies and/or distributed systems.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent education.Experience with key related technologies, such as microservice-based architectures, distributed systems, Java, SQL and NoSQL databases, REST APIs, Cloud services, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform.Ability to build, drive and promote cross-team processes.Previous experience with system monitoring, automation, and incident management systems.Previous experience as a Software Engineer or Software Architect.Does this sound like you? US: Hiring Range: from $120,300 to $291,900 per annum.
