Assistant Public Defender - Wrongful Convictions

Duties and Responsibilities:Assistant public defender for post-conviction writs division to represent clients on 11.07 writs and some chapter 64 DNA motions.

Education and Licensure:Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.

Must have experience in knowing where to look for information and how to get it.

Experience with forensic issues (especially DNA) is valuable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Good legal research and writing skills are a plus but are secondary to thinking outside the box and finding the facts that support the legal claims.
