LETTERS OF CREDIT OFFICER SENIOR

WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?The colleague will be responsible for delivering a high level of excellent service to clients through various channels for commercial trade finance clients. The colleague will handle customer inquiries and all tasks associated with letters of credit, such as drafting, issuance, advising, document examination, payment, transfer, assignment of proceeds, and providing issue resolution within the established guidelines, following the department's procedures and ensuring delivery services are within the established service level agreement. The colleague will provide prompt and courteous customer service to both internal and external customers.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?Handle Letters of Credit and Amendment Issuance, including Commercial Letter of Credit Advising, Document Examination, Financing, Payments, and other Trade Finance Products.Provide advice and direction on operational aspects of Trade Finance to both internal and external customers with a high level of responsiveness.Adhere to all department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal regulations, anti-boycott laws, OFAC, and AML. Collaborate with internal and external parties to comply with legal requirements and policies.Resolve complex inquiries and customer service issues through full ownership and resolution, making sound decisions while balancing risk with opportunity.Ensure timely collection of fees and notifications.Assist with ad hoc projects and assignments.Draft, issue, advise, and examine documents presented under letters of credit to ensure compliance with Bank policies and International Standards.Provide comments to stakeholders regarding acceptable wording of Standby Letters of Credit.Process export and import letters of credit transactions, ensuring compliance with Bank policies and regulations.

Must-Have*Bachelor's Degree or equivalentMinimum 5 years of experience processing letters of credit (standby or commercial)Minimum 3 years of basic computer experience (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)Minimum 5 years of experience with Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits and/or International Standby practices

Skills and KnowledgeComprehensive knowledge of International Standby Practices and Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits is required.Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and all levels of Bank personnel.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Detail-oriented and accurate in a deadline-driven, multitask-oriented environment.Good PC skills (e.g., Microsoft Office)Knowledge of Fusion Trade Innovation

Starting base salary: $28.58 - $45.66 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
