Do you have a passion for innovation and retail?The Senior Product Manager is a key member of the Nordstrom Merchandising Product Management team, championing the customer and merchant experience with qualitative and quantitative insights and delivering key features and functionality for Nordstrom. Product Management is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish that, product managers plan the product roadmap and prioritize the technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure/communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment.The Merchandising planning space is undergoing a substantial transformation so there is significant opportunity to have material impact on our business. The ideal candidate has led other major transformation efforts partnering with third party vendors and is adept at navigating enterprise change management. This role partners closely with leaders across merchandising, operations, UX, and software engineering (both internal to Nordstrom and external technology vendors). This is a highly visible and critical role to Nordstrom, and the ideal candidate will have a balance of business and technical acumen as well as a demonstrated ability to deliver value iteratively while making meaningful progress on broader longer-term strategies/initiatives.We are seeking a dynamic candidate who has demonstrated success in rapidly evolving environments, adeptly managing shifting priorities to deliver exceptional products and features. In addition to individual excellence, the ideal candidate will possess outstanding teamwork skills, thriving in collaboration with colleagues to achieve shared goals, and drive forward collective success.A day in the life…Define and lead the strategic product roadmap in alignment with business and technology partners.Develop a deep understanding of your customers to deliver iterative business value.Clearly articulate and drive partner alignment around an agile product strategy that supports and enhances business efficiencies. Prioritize feature opportunities and manage product backlogs.Take charge as the product lead for cross-functional workstreams in the Merchandising domain, working closely with other product and program management teams, as well as business leaders, to realize anticipated value.Lead efforts with cross-functional teams to ideate a cohesive multi-year product vision that aligns with JWN's overarching strategic goals.Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams to facilitate feature and strategy discovery, assessing feasibility and viability.Lead business requirements gathering, analyze and map underlying processes, application, and data flows to guide opportunity/risk identification and scoping.Support requirements definition by creating wireframes, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria and other relevant artifacts.Work closely with UX, Research, Engineering, and the business teams to shape feature designs and ensure seamless execution.Define and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, encompassing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Communication Strategy, Change Management Strategy, and post-implementation validations.Establish, measure, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product-specific features. Conduct thorough root cause analysis to identify factors impacting performance.You own this if you have…Minimum 5+ years’ experience of product management experience required, technology or ecommerce company preferred.Domain expertise in Retail Merchandising, and large-scale data products for operational workflows and/or analytical use-cases.Ability to define, measure and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunities.Technical background and understanding of software development principles, including a/b testing.Ability to build relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams (including Analytics, Engineering and User Experience) and to (co-)define product strategy, roadmap, and execution.Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done.Confidence representing your cross-functional team & products, presenting vision & priorities to internal stakeholders, customers, and partners. You enjoy speaking opportunities and have a proven experience presenting to large teams and leadership.Strong learning mindset. Pay ranges may be different in other locations. Washington: $120,500 - $220,500 Annually. This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
