Job Description

The Nordstrom Merchandise Planning and Selection domain is core to the company’s success as a Fashion Retailer. This area focuses on supporting our internal Nordstrom users with technology solutions they need to plan, select, and procure the best products for our customers. In this role, the Product Manager 2 will partner with the Merchandising business and engineering teams in identifying risks, and driving the development, implementation, and management of innovative Merchandising solutions.The Product Manager 2 is a key member of the Nordstrom Product Management team, championing the customer experience evolution through data-driven insights using a variety of qualitative and quantitative inputs and delivering key features, functionality, and programs for Nordstrom. Product Management is responsible for making sure we build the right products and features for our customers and business. To accomplish that, product managers plan the product roadmap and prioritize the applicable technology backlog, lead product discovery, and measure and communicate results of the feature portfolio in production, all while ensuring stakeholder alignment.A day in the life…Develop product roadmaps and prioritize features and solutions based on feedback, competitive analysis, user experience, and business objectivesEstablish and monitor metrics for defining success, including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the productsPrioritize features and develop quarterly priorities and annual backlogEstablish and execute on tactical plans for delivery of key workstreams supporting the strategic roadmapAssess feature/strategy value and success metrics in partnership with finance and business teamsSupport tactical prioritization and ensure alignment across business and technical stakeholdersSupport requirements definition inclusive of wireframes, process flows, user stories, and other supporting artifactsContribute and execute on go to market strategy inclusive of UAT, Communication Strategy, Change Management Strategy, and post go live validationsSupport ongoing system health and performance by supporting key incident triage and ongoing health and maintenance initiativesPartner with UX, Research, and Engineering on feature designWork with engineering during feature development to ensure feature objectives are maintainedAct as key point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates, gathering feedback, and fostering strong communication across teamsYou own this if you have…3+ years of product management or equivalent experience with technology, retail, or ecommerce company preferredBasic ability to define, measure, and analyze processes to identify improvement opportunitiesBasic technical background and understanding of software development principles, including Agile development and testing methodologiesStrong attention to detailAbility to build relationships cross-functionally with multiple teams from areas such as Analytics, Engineering, and User ExperienceStrong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including presenting to various levels within a matrixed organizationExperience working with internally built and 3rd party software solution providers, collaborating and influencing across diverse audiencesWe’ve got you covered…Our employees are our most important asset and that’s reflected in our benefits. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.Washington: $103,000-$188,500 annually. This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more. Eligibility requirements may apply based on location, job level, classification, and length of employment.
