Acme concepts and team members have won numerous awards and accolades from local, regional and national sources.Position Summary:The role of People & Culture Director collaborates with the Founder, President and Executive Team to develop and implement innovative HR strategies aligned with the Acme's business objectives, fostering a culture of acting with integrity, celebrating community, embracing originality and delivering excellence.Responsibilities:People and Culture Strategy and LeadershipDevelop and drive the HR strategyLead and develop a best-in-class People and Culture team and be the example of Acme leadership. Through the P&C team ensure leadership and employees are supported on all human resources matters including employee relations, performance management, development, employment law compliance, policy interpretation, compensation and benefits.Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, areas of improvement share in a timely manner to support key business decisionsAssess employee satisfaction through direct conversations and surveys, and implement a system to evaluate and hold managers accountable for their performance in this areaLeader GuidanceProvide coaching and guidance to people leaders, aligning with Acme’s values to effectively apply our people practices, on various human resources matters including employee relations, performance management, employment law compliance, policy interpretation, and compensation. Ensuring that our actions are fair and consistent.Conduct thorough investigations related to employee relations concerns and develop manager’s skills in the areaCollaborate with senior leaders to address organizational challenges and drive continuous improvement acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partnerTalent ManagementPartner with business leaders to understand upcoming talent needs and develop plans to leverage internal and external talent as appropriatePartner closely with leaders to structure and develop their respective teams to maximize performance and employee engagementOwn management recruiting with a continual eye to improve quality and diversity of hire, interviewer assessment skills, candidate experience and minimize agency spend.Develop training programs aligned with the business needs for both leaders and hourly employeesPartner with the Executive Team and Finance leadership around headcount planning and execution.ComplianceMonitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance and minimize riskMaintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and innovative technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; apply this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to management.People Program Design and CompliancePartner with the Senior Generalist in developing people policies and processes and assist with the roll out, ongoing buy-in and training of company initiatives keeping Acme Culture and Values always top of mind.Understand the needs of the business to build and alter policies and procedures to drive business success as well as creating consistency and compliance.Develop a best in class wage and benefit program including annual wage compression analysis, review of tipping procedures, bonus and commission structures and long term incentives for key leaders.Be the thought leader to bring Acme Hospitality’s values and culture to life for both employees and candidates.Develop and deliver a plan for Acme Hospitality to be an Employer of Choices.RequirementsRequirements:7+ years of demonstrated Human Resources Manager experience. including 2+ years HR experience in a hospitality business preferred.Proven ability to work independently, anticipating the needs of the business and driving your team and partners toward those objectives.Experience owning full cycle recruiting for management hiringHave strong data analysis skills, with the ability to aggregate and utilize data to support and inform business decisions.Strong track record in prioritizing critical work amidst competing priorities and influencing and catalyzing change management.Thorough knowledge of human resources practices and procedures as well as considerable knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to human resources matters.Success at executing plans, follow up dealing with ambiguity and adapting to changeSuccess at multi-tasking and prioritizationAbility to communicate so that the message is clear and simple both verbally and writtenBachelor’s degree required.Paylocity experience preferred.Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.Some travel will be required.Key Competencies:Communication SkillsProblem SolvingDrive for resultsDealing with ambiguityAnalytical Skills
