Hawai’i’s ACS-verified Level 1 Trauma Center and lead trauma center for the State of Hawai’i Trauma System is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. Responsibilities

The Nurse Manager, Surgical ICU is responsible for:

Oversight of daily operations of the nursing unit;

Supervision and support of staff and patients;

Setting the standard of care in the Surgical ICU and managing budgets consistent with the organization's mission, vision, and philosophy;

Developing, establishing, and monitoring plans and activities to ensure:

Delivery of high-quality patient care and services;

Effective planning and coordination of resources;

Compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements;

Achievement of goals and objectives.

Participating in the long-term planning of the Surgical ICU.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in nursing.

Current, or eligible for, Hawaii State license as Registered Nurse.

Depending upon area of assignment, specialty certification/training may be required.

Current BLS certification.

Current ACLS certification.

Current PALS certification.

Minimum five (5) years progressive experience as a Registered Nurse, including at least 2 years of specialized experience in a Surgical/Trauma ICU.

Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.

Preferred:

Master’s degree.

Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML), Nurse Executive (NE-BC) or Nurse Executive, Advanced (NEA-BC) certification.

Compensation

Compensation is based on experience relevant to this position.
