Role Overview:

As the Nurse Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of our Cardiac Invasive (Cath Lab) department and Cardiac Recovery Unit (CRU) ensuring high-quality care and optimal performance. Your leadership will drive the department's success and enhance the patient experience.

Department Overview:

The Cardiac Invasive Services (CIS/Cath lab) is a 6-procedure room unit specifically designed to perform invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures, including electrophysiology, structural heart, and complex coronary procedures. Procedures are performed on both inpatients and outpatients who have a cardiovascular condition requiring a diagnostic or invasive procedure.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the departments, and supervise and support personnel and patients.

Set the standard of care in the department(s) and manage budgets consistent with the mission, vision, and philosophy of the organization.

Develop, establish, and monitor plans and activities to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Ensure effective planning and coordination of resources and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Participate in the long-term planning of assigned unit(s) and area(s).

Minimum Qualifications:

Current Hawaii State license as Registered Nurse.

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.

Master's Degree preferred.

Current BLS certification.

Five (5) years progressive experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in an acute care facility.

Two (2) years supervisory/leadership experience.

Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML), Nurse Executive (NE-BC) or Nurse Executive, Advanced (NEA-BC) certification preferred.

Typical Physical Demands:

Standing, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.

Frequent: static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.

Occasional: stooping/bending, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground, lifting and carrying usual weight of one pound up to five pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level.

Typical Working Conditions:

Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.

Subjected to noise/vibrations from intercoms, telephones, and monitors.

Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases.

Frequently works on multiple tasks and priorities at one time.
