Responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing programs and initiatives that strengthen the relationship between the University of Oklahoma College of Law (OU Law) and its alumni. In collaboration and coordination with the OU Foundation Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving team, this position will oversee all aspects of alumni relations and event planning for the college in support of the Dean, Dean of Students, Associate Dean for Scholarship and Enrichment and the Executive Director of Advancement for the College of Law at the OU Foundation.Develops and implements a strategic plan for alumni relations in alignment with OU Law's goals and objectives in support of the overall alumni engagement goals of the OU Foundation.Develops and executes strategies to engage alumni in the life of OU Law.Foster relationships with alumni to encourage their involvement in mentoring, networking and supporting current students.Coordinates with alumni chapters, affinity groups and student organizations to promote engagement activities.Serves as a liaison to the OU Law Board of Visitors and other advisory boards.Serves as the college's primary alumni relations content creator for a variety of mediums including email, print, social, event marketing, website and other efforts.Ensures consistent and effective communication that highlights alumni achievements, school news and opportunities for involvement.Collaborates with the University of Oklahoma Division of Marketing and Communications (Marketing and Communications) and the OUFoundation to develop and disseminate alumni-related content.Collaborates with Foundation's Advancement Initiatives team in support of alumni events, including reunions, networking events, annual awards and regional gatherings.Maintains alumni data and records in collaboration with the OU Foundation.Collaborates with OU Marketing and Communications and OU Foundation Communications in support of signature events that enhance alumni engagement and support.Collaborates with other departments to ensure the success of alumni events.Analyzes alumni data to inform engagement strategies and measure the effectiveness of alumni relations programs, including the relationship between the alumni relations function and fundraising.Recruits, trains and manages alumni volunteers for various programs and initiatives including student and co-curricular networking events hosted by OU Law that require alumni participation.Recognizes and honor the contributions of alumni volunteers through awards and acknowledgment programs.Partners with the OU Law Office of Career Development to connect alumni with current students for robust mentoring and career opportunities, including building mentoring and career programs as needed to support student development and graduate job placement, a critical area for national rankings.Develops programs that facilitate alumni involvement in student career development.Works closely with Marketing and Communications and OU Foundation Communications to share news and updates about alumni achievements and school initiatives.Partners with the Dean of Students to share news about students and their accomplishments with the alumni community.Collaborates with the Associate Dean for Scholarship and Enrichment to share news about faculty research and scholarly activities with alumni and host CLE programs to increase engagement, revenue and prospect referrals for the OU Foundation.Serves as a member of the Oklahoma County, Cleveland County and Tulsa County Bar Associations, attending meetings and other bar association events to further alumni engagement and initiatives.Act as the primary liaison between OU Law and Oklahoma Bar Association.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree,

AND:7 years (84 months) of experience in alumni, constituent, donor or community outreach and engagement, communications, education, law or a related field.Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational and project management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in database management and data analysis.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.Proficiency in using social media and digital communication tools.Ability to successfully plan and coordinate eventsFamiliarity with alumni relations strategies and best practices.Knowledge of higher education institutions and the legal profession is a plus.Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.Ability to inspire and motivate alumni to engage with and support OU Law.High level of professionalism and discretion.Commitment to the mission and values of OU Law.Working Conditions:Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods.
