ABOUT THE TEAMThe Catalog Management Systems (CMS) team is responsible for the tools and systems that ingest, validate, process, and publish all of the content available on the Audible platform. Our team is building next-generation systems that will revolutionize the way Audible handles its product catalog. We are developing solutions that enable seamless, no-touch audiobook processing, with robust error handling and the ability to scale effortlessly to meet the demands of our growing catalog.

As a Lead Software Development Engineer, you will...Independently lead complex technical initiatives within your teamDrive architecture and technical strategy for key components, ensuring operational excellenceMentor and lead developers by cultivating curiosity and deep technical understandingExplore technical needs and bring solutions to the tablePartner with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and launch inspiring softwareCollaborate with stakeholders to imagine, design, develop, test, and launch scalable and maintainable software that impacts our customers and inspires your peersIndependently clarify technical requirements, assessing development estimates and apply a broad range of design approachesDrive continuous improvement of software quality, customer experience, and maintainability of products/featuresStay updated on industry-wide and Amazon-specific tools, trends, and technologies, and share knowledge within the community

Minimum Requirements:- 4+ years of professional software development experience- 3+ years of programming experience with one or more modern languages (e.g., Java, C++, C#), including object-oriented design- 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new systems
