Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to join our team in San Juan Capistrano. This full-time role is ideal for a paralegal with 2+ years of experience. The position involves providing essential support in areas such as contract management, regulatory compliance, and document preparation, particularly within the context of project finance and renewable energy initiatives.

What You Get To Do:

Contract Management:

Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and managing of various agreements, including project development contracts, supply agreements, and financing documents.

Transactional Support:

Provide administrative and legal support during transactions, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.

Legal Research:

Conduct research on relevant laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist the legal team in making informed decisions.

Document Preparation:

Prepare and organize legal documents for filings, correspondence, and internal reporting.

Regulatory Compliance:

Support the legal team in ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards and regulatory requirements.

Litigation Support:

Assist with the management of litigation matters, including coordinating with external counsel and managing related documentation.

Administrative Duties:

Perform various administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, maintaining legal files, and handling correspondence.

What You Bring To The Role:

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies, legal studies, or a related field.

Experience:

Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, with significant experience in preferred industries such as construction, real estate development, renewable energy, or oil & gas sectors.

Skills:

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in legal research tools, contract management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department focused on renewable energy.

Familiarity with project finance, land use issues, and environmental regulations related to renewable energy projects.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities effectively.
