A law firm in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in business bankruptcy, insolvency, and related litigation. The role involves preparing Federal and State legal documents, conducting thorough legal research, and supporting trials, hearings, and depositions. The ideal candidate will be licensed or eligible to be immediately licensed in North Carolina and will possess excellent academic credentials and outstanding written and oral communication skills.Duties:Prepare Federal and State legal documents, including pleadings (motions, briefs, responses, complaints), proofs of claim, summonses, and discovery-related documents.Research and analyze legal sources such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes.Perform legal research and cite checking using tools such as Lexis and Westlaw.Conduct research and prepare information for evidentiary hearings in federal and state court cases.Prepare for and attend trials, hearings, and depositions to support and assist other attorneys.Handle routine calls and correspondence with attorneys, trustees, debtors, clients, and the courts.Assist in managing cases and legal proceedings related to business bankruptcy and insolvency.Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide updates on case progress.Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.Requirements:2-6 years of experience in business bankruptcy, insolvency, and related litigation.Must be licensed or eligible to be immediately licensed in North Carolina.Excellent academic credentials.Outstanding written and oral communication skills.Education:JD degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed or eligible to be immediately licensed in North Carolina.Skills:Proficiency in preparing Federal and State legal documents related to bankruptcy.Strong research and analytical skills, with experience using Lexis and Westlaw.Ability to conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed reports for hearings.Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, courts, and colleagues.Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under pressure.Proven ability to support trials, hearings, and depositions effectively.Company info
