POSITION SUMMARY

We're seeking a

Director of Business Intelligence (BI)

at Oncourse Home Solutions to lead our strategic initiatives through insightful data analysis. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Intelligence & Analytics, you'll play a pivotal role in executing our BI strategy, ensuring data-driven insights guide critical decisions across the organization. This position involves managing BI tools, conducting in-depth analyses, and collaborating cross-functionally to optimize operations and elevate customer experience.

As Director of Business Intelligence, you'll prioritize and oversee the workload of our BI team, ensuring alignment with business objectives. You'll support comprehensive data management, including building Looker models, defining metrics, dimensions, and measures. Your responsibilities will span leading BI projects, mentoring junior analysts, and monitoring KPIs to foster continuous improvement. You'll conduct thorough analyses of key business areas, present actionable insights to stakeholders, and contribute to BI roadmaps. This role also entails developing analytical models to tackle business challenges and drive strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Develop and execute the business intelligence strategy to support data-driven decision-making across claims, retention, marketing, digital initiatives, contact center operations, and direct mail campaigns.Lead initiatives to enhance analytics capabilities across various channels, ensuring insights are leveraged effectively.Lead and manage a team of BI analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure insightful analysis and reporting.Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align BI efforts with organizational objectives and business needs.Champion and facilitate data-driven decision-making across departments and initiatives, promoting a culture of analytics.Oversee the analytics team's efforts in delivering timely and actionable insights to stakeholders.Conduct in-depth analysis and reporting on key business metrics, trends, and opportunities.Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.Identify opportunities for optimization and improvement through data analysis and present findings to senior management.

Experience and Qualifications of the Role

Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in analytics, including hands-on experience with data analysis, modeling, and interpretation.Demonstrated track record of successful leadership and team management, with at least 4 years in a managerial or leadership role overseeing analytics teams.Skills and technical ability to build new data models/data sets as a self-starter, toggling between mentorship and individual contribution.Proven experience in developing and implementing analytics strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.Strong background in statistical analysis and analytics methods to derive insights.Extensive experience in leveraging data visualization tools to communicate complex findings and insights to diverse stakeholders.Experience working with cross-functional teams to integrate analytics into decision-making processes and drive organizational change.Experience building and managing large, complex data models across multiple source systems.Experience with subscription businesses and contact center data and metrics highly desirable.

Computer Skills Needed to Perform the Job

Proficiency in SQL for data querying, manipulation, and analysis.Deep familiarity with business intelligence tools, preferably Looker, for data analysis.Direct experience working with data warehouse technologies, preferably Snowflake.Working knowledge of ETL processes (dbt preferred but not required).Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle or similar).

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
