Lead Workday Business Systems Consultant (Flex Home/Office)

As the Workday Lead Business Systems Consultant reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Systems, you will primarily be focused on the Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Absence of the Workday Human Capital Management system. You will provide the business with context of current system capabilities, configuration, testing, and deploy support for projects impacting Workday to align with departmental goals. You will provide cross-functional expertise to guide business stakeholders in the scoping of projects, and creation of business rules and requirements, test plans, and deployment. You will provide support for post-production deployment.Position Compensation Range:$95,000.00 - $161,000.00Pay Rate Type:SalaryCompensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.Primary Accountabilities:You will have experience supporting and configuring the payroll, time tracking, absence, and compensation modules of Workday.You will have experience configuring, testing, and deploying Workday business processes relating to US Payroll such as payroll processing, earning and deduction codes, payslip configuration, and verification.You will have experience configuring, testing, and deploying Workday business processes relating to Compensation such as eligibility rules, salary plans, allowance plans, merit plans, bonus plans, incentive/stock plans, and compensation review configuration.You will have experience configuring, testing, and deploying Workday business processes relating to Time Tracking such as time entry setup, time entry calculations, time entry validations, period schedule, and worker eligibility configuration.You will have experience configuring, testing, and deploying Workday business processes relating to Absence such as time off, leave types, and configuring absence calculations and balances.You will have experience leveraging Workday's enterprise interface builder (EIB).You will engage with technology areas and represent the business on business issues and requirements for large and complex system projects.You will partner with stakeholders to understand needs, gather and analyze business requirements, perform requirements and systems analysis, assist in change management, training and testing efforts.You will gather and document business rules functional requirements and data definitions.Collaborates to resolve inconsistencies and inadequacies in requirements.You will partner with technology areas to develop user acceptance testing and quality assurance test scenarios and cases working to ensure data delivery meets business requirements.You will collaborate with stakeholders to produce and maintain accurate test documentation.Specialized Knowledge Requirements:You will demonstrate the ability to work with and support core human resource business processes relating to compensation, benefits, payroll, time tracking, and absence.You will demonstrate the ability to create, modify, and manage Workday security roles while evaluating downstream implications.You will demonstrate the ability to effectively consult and recommend system enhancements in an understandable way for a variety of audiences ranging from technical to leadership.Demonstrated experience acting as a liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and technology or cost constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding business strategy and technology strategy.Demonstrated experience providing customer-oriented solutions, support, or service.Demonstrated experience balancing and aligning the focus of many different stakeholders across the enterprise based on business objectives.Demonstrated experience building effective working relationships and a strong network that includes people from both business and technical disciplines.Demonstrated experience planning and deploying both business and technology initiatives.Extensive understanding of existing technology and emerging technologies that will enhance business capabilities.Extensive knowledge of business systems and how to apply them to leverage efficiencies in a business environment.Solid knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies, practices, techniques, and tools.Basic knowledge and understanding of systems development life cycle (SDLC).In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783.Internal candidates are encouraged to apply regardless of location and will be considered based upon the needs of the role.Licenses/Certifications:Workday PRO HCM, Workday PRO Compensation, Workday PRO Payroll for U.S., Workday PRO Absence and/or Workday PRO Time Tracking are preferred.Experience:4 or more years of experience in Workday.Travel Requirements:Up to 5%.Physical Requirements:Work that involves sitting/standing.Working Conditions:Not Applicable.Relocation Support Offered for Eligible Candidates.Role Not Eligible for Sponsorship.#LI-HybridWe encourage you to apply even if you do not meet all of the requirements listed above.
