Summary

Brookwood Financial Partners is looking for an experienced real estate executive to lead its property acquisitions efforts, with a near-term focus on acquiring grocery anchored retail shopping centers and shadow anchored retail centers in Florida, Texas and Arizona. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of the acquisitions process, including sourcing new opportunities, contract negotiations, overseeing underwriting, due diligence, and financing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Acquisition Sourcing:

Identify and pursue both on-market and off-market acquisition opportunities.

Market Analysis:

Conduct thorough market research and report on current market trends.

Pipeline Management:

Create and maintain an active pipeline of acquisition opportunities.

Relationship Building:

Develop and sustain relationships with brokers, professional service providers, and lending sources to stay informed on market conditions and generate leads.

Negotiation:

Negotiate letters of intent and purchase and sale agreements with sellers and their legal counsel.

Due Diligence:

Lead all aspects of the due diligence process to ensure comprehensive evaluation of potential acquisitions.

Underwriting:

Oversee the evaluation and financial underwriting of properties.

Investment Committee Preparation:

Prepare detailed memorandums and presentations for the Investment Committee's review and approval.

Transition Management:

Ensure a seamless transition of acquired properties to internal asset managers, property management teams, and other personnel responsible for business plan execution and day-to-day operations.

Performance Tracking:

Monitor and evaluate the performance of acquisitions against underwriting assumptions.

Qualifications

MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

10+ years of experience in retail property acquisitions.

Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet demanding deadlines.

Experience in managing and leading employees.

Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial statements, review projections, and understand business implications.
