Associate Attorney
to join our
Pasadena
office and play a key role in developing our
Employment Law
practice. In this role, you will represent and defend employers in a variety of employment law matters, with a focus on handling PAGA claims.Responsibilities:Manage an independent caseload of employer-side employment defense matters, with a focus on PAGA claims.Create Ironclad Employer handbooks that protect the client.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Depose witnesses, prepare clients for hearings and represent clients in mediations and arbitrations (court appearances may be required in the future).Stay up to date on developments in California employment law.Collaborate with partners and associates on complex employment cases, outsourcing only when necessary.Provide legal support on business and/or business litigation matters as needed.Develop and maintain strong client relationships.Qualifications:J.D. degree and admission to the California Bar.3+ years of experience in employment law, representing employers.Strong analytical and legal writing skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in legal research and case management software.Ability to manage multiple deadlines and a high volume of work.A passion for employment law and a desire to build a successful practice.Benefits:$105,000 - $155,000 Base salaryBonuses based on billable hour benchmarksDiscretionary bonusHealth InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceDisability - Short / LongPaid Time OffTuition ReimbursementLife Insurance401k 4% matchSalary Range:
