Position SummaryAs a Senior SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test), you will be responsible for test planning, test scenario design, test case development and test automation suite development, to assess and improve the overall quality of our products.About Team: Data VenturesData Ventures exists to unlock the full value of Walmart's data by developing and productizing B2B data initiatives that empower merchants and suppliers to make better, faster decisions for the business. As part of this transformation, we're seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help drive data productization from concept to deployment.What You'll DoYou will be part of a global engineering team set up that caters to several businesses across the globe at Walmart. You will be responsible for designing and implementing functional and end-to-end tests, and will work at UI, API and database levels.Your Responsibility Shall IncludeLeading Design, Planning and Implementation of manual & automation testing and documentation.Responsible for products end to end testing methodology and strategy by following best practices.Create and execute test plans, test cases and scripts that will determine optimal application performance according to specifications.Contribute to planning and estimation activities, monitoring processes and reviewing QA deliverables and tasks.Setup and execute manual & automation tests, derive KPIs and conduct periodic measurement analysis, deliver, and communicate test results.Perform quality assurance measures and testing criteria for new applications, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development/product lifecycles.Defect reporting and retesting, performing regression testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, API testing.Performs root cause analysis to prevent future occurrence of issues.Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under development or consideration to determine its intended functionality.Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues.Responsible for assessing bugs priority & severity, effectively communicate to stakeholders.Engage with Product Management and Business Teams across the globe to drive the agenda, understand priorities and lead towards delivering quality products.Troubleshoots business and production issues by reviewing and analyzing information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause).What You'll BringYou have a deep interest and passion for technology. You will also have to provide technical leadership and mentoring to a small team of highly talented and motivated engineers to deliver these solutions with highest quality.Your Qualifications Shall IncludeBachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field with 5+ years of experience in Computer Science or related field.Experience in building UI and API Test Automation Frameworks and libraries.Proficient in automating tests using Selenium, Cypress, WebdriverIO, Appium, or similar frameworks.Server-side API testing, Integration testing and solid understanding of REST API's.Proficient in using JIRA to log defects, develop test scenarios, execution and create status reports/dashboards.Experience in writing complex SQL queries.Experience in setting up CI/CD pipeline with Jenkins and GitHub.Experience in Agile / Scrum / Kanban model.Proficient in any of the programming Java, JavaScript, Python.Experience in Postman, Eclipse, JUnit, Maven, Gradle, TestNG, POI and respective open source or similar tools.Experience in troubleshooting test failures and make appropriate fixes.Experience in performing feasibility, compatibility test & prototyping for various features.Identifying trends / Pattern Recognition skills.Accurately estimate timelines for test activities.Experience in Functional and Integration testing with cross browsers or products.Experience on Regression, Performance & Load Testing.Documenting risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies and proactively managing them.Clear communication skills to work closely with stakeholders on Sprint/Test Strategy.Good interpersonal skills - including negotiation, facilitation, and consensus building skills; ability to prioritize, influence and persuade without direct control.Ability to work independently as well as a team player.About Walmart Global TechImagine working in an environment where one line of code can make life easier for hundreds of millions of people.
