Corporate Counsel

We are a growing telecommunications company currently operating in over 20 states. We are seeking a smart, motivated, positive, self-starter to join our legal team. This position will work closely with the VP of Legal, report directly to the Chief Legal Officer, and provide an opportunity to learn and grow with a quickly expanding and successful company.Responsibilities:Draft, review, and negotiate customer and vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Provide legal advice and support on employment law, land rights, regulatory compliance, M&A, and litigation matters.Research and analyze legal issues and developments affecting the telecom industry.Assist the VP of Legal and other senior legal counsel with various legal projects and initiatives.Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization.Conduct your work with integrity and responsibility.Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation.Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces.Examine contracts and ensure their legal validity.Explain contracts and clarify any legal language or specifications.Suggest changes that would protect the company from losses and damages.Draft and review the legality of transactions, contracts, agreements, and joint ventures.Qualifications:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.3-5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department.Familiarity with telecom companies or telecom regulation is a plus.Familiarity with employment law.Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Admission to the state bar or eligible for admission.
