We are hiring creative, motivated, and talented people with a passion for doing what's right, what's smart, and what works.Description/Job SummaryLindahl Reed has a need for a Hydrogen Fuel Cells Project Monitor/ Engineer to directly support the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) in project management activities including, but not limited to, Funding Opportunity Announcements, project management, and technical support for competitively selected grants and cooperative agreements. Support involves day-to-day interactions with internal parties such as legal, contracting, NEPA, and communications; as well as external parties including project recipients in academia, private industry, and National Laboratories.The position will directly support projects in EERE's Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technologies Office (HFTO) and primarily focuses on supporting demonstration and deployment projects across transportation; integrated energy systems (integrated with wind, solar, nuclear, etc); and industrial applications (steel and ammonia production). An ideal candidate will have project management experience and experience with research, development, and deployment of innovative hydrogen and fuel cell, renewable energy, transportation, or manufacturing technologies. Responsibilities include:Position Responsibilities

Provide project management, performance monitoring, documentation, and progress assessment for HFTO-funded projects.

Support the development, coordination, and management of competitive solicitations and merit reviews.

Engage with HFTO stakeholders on an appropriate level to ensure needs and gaps are being addressed where possible at the Federal level.

Assist in the development of internal briefing materials for decision makers and contribute technical review of external communications.

Successfully represent the program status to senior government officials, congressional stakeholders, academia, and industry partners.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field (project management, sustainable energy, earth science, energy management, or other related discipline)

5+ years’ experience

Professional attitude

Strong attention to detail

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.

Self-starter, an ability to work both independently and as part of a highly dynamic collaborative team.

Ability to balance multiple long and short-term projects and competing priorities

Knowledge of hydrogen and fuel cells technologies.

Authorized to work in the United States with no restrictions, U.S. Citizen, or Permanent US Resident

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to actively track and monitor government-funded research and development projects.

PMP Certification.

Experience working within DOE EERE.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Self-starter, an ability to work both independently and as part of a highly dynamic collaborative team.

Experience working in hydrogen or fuel cell technologies.

General engineering experience related to demonstrations of integrated renewable energy systems, development of energy-efficient transportation, or advanced manufacturing.
