Media Relations Manager For the New York, Boston, DC, or Hartford Office of an International Law Firm
Responsibilities include:Formulate and execute PR and communication strategies for the firm's US offices and key practices and industries;Cultivate and maintain relationships with key journalists across legal, national, and trade publications to ensure lawyers are featured on issues and topics relevant to clients and prospects;Draft news releases, case studies and other content to secure media coverage in national, legal and trade press;Work closely with the US and London marketing team to ensure cohesive and effective communication strategies;Coordinate interviews and coach lawyers on media interview techniques;Collaborate with BD colleagues and other stakeholders to develop innovative campaigns that support strategic media activities.Qualifications include:5+ years of experience working within another law firm in a similar role or working within an external PR agency that focuses on law firms and the legal industry;Strong relationships with key business and legal reporters;Ability to establish credibility with legal personnel at all levels of the Firm;Demonstrates an efficient mix of confidence, tact, patience, and persistence;Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to understand the Firm's mission and business priorities, practice activities and related market dynamics;Commitment to client service.Salary:
$120k-$150k
