Job Summary

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will serve as a strategic partner to the executive team and provide leadership in developing and executing human resources strategies in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This includes areas of talent management, organizational and performance management, training and development, compensation, and benefits. The CHRO will act as an advisor on all HR-related matters and ensure the company’s HR operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

Develop HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.

Provide guidance and leadership to the HR team and company leadership on all HR-related issues.

Act as a strategic advisor to the executive team, offering insights on HR implications of organizational decisions.

Employee Relations:

Develop and implement effective employee relations policies and practices.

Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.

Address and resolve employee conflicts and grievances.

Compensation and Benefits:

Design competitive compensation and benefits programs to attract and retain employees.

Oversee payroll, benefits administration, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Conduct regular market analysis to ensure compensation packages are competitive.

Organizational Development:

Lead initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.

Oversee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.

Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI):

Develop and implement DEI strategies to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace.

Ensure DEI principles are integrated into all HR policies and practices.

Compliance and Risk Management:

Ensure all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

Mitigate HR-related risks through effective policies and procedures.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and industry best practices.

HR Technology and Analytics:

Implement and manage HR technologies to streamline HR processes.

Use HR analytics to drive data-informed decision-making and measure HR effectiveness.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly desirable.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven experience in strategic planning and execution of HR initiatives.

Demonstrated experience in talent management, employee relations, and organizational development.

Must have experience managing 1099 employees, including overseeing independent contractor agreements, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations, and handling related administrative tasks.

Skills:

Strong leadership and management skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

In-depth knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.

Proficiency in HRIS and other HR technologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of TriNet and other software to support an effective HR function.
