Overview:
As the Director of Facilities for TQL, you will be responsible for overseeing the management, operation, and maintenance for the Cincinnati Area owned and leased commercial office properties. You will lead, manage, and develop a team of 10+ Facility Managers and Technicians. As the Director, you will ensure all facilities are aligned with company goals and initiatives and deliver the best workplace experiences for our 9,000+ employees.
Key responsibilities:
Facility Operations and Maintenance:
Oversee daily operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and meet safety standards including an on-prem data center at the company’s headquarters.
Direct the maintenance of the physical structure of the facilities, including renovations, repairs, and preventive maintenance programs.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
Team Leadership & Development:
Lead and manage a team of facility managers, maintenance staff, and support personnel.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the facilities team.
Provide training, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to enhance team capabilities.
Vendor Management:
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
Work with Procurement to negotiate contracts and service agreements, ensuring competitive pricing and quality service.
Strategic Planning:
Assist with the development and execution of strategic plans for the management and operation of commercial office facilities.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements without compromising service quality.
Sustainability & Efficiency Initiatives:
Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and promote sustainability within the facilities.
Monitor and report on the performance of sustainability projects, ensuring alignment with corporate sustainability goals.
Qualifications:
10+ years of facilities management and operations experience.
Extensive experience with the following:
Contract and vendor selection and negotiations.
Financial principles including responsibilities for managing budgets.
Engineering operations, Facilities Maintenance and operations management, utility and backup power operations and infrastructure.
Development and maintaining of mission critical systems including data centers and network infrastructure.
Safety and security policies and procedures.
Emergency/disaster management, physical security, incident management and risk mitigation.
Experience managing build projects from beginning to end as well as the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time with changing priorities.
Strong leadership skills with ability to build relationships, manage, and motivate internal and external teams.
Resilient and flexible to change in a fast-paced environment with everchanging priorities.
Ability to travel up to 10-15%
