Position Overview:We are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer/Financial Controller with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in financial management, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis, specifically within the construction sector. You will play a key role in driving the financial success of the company, ensuring effective financial planning, and maintaining the overall financial health of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth objectives.

Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.

Manage the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, & opportunities, providing actionable insights to executive team.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Lead financial planning process, working closely with department heads to create accurate and achievable budgets.

Oversee the management of accounting, payroll, and financial reporting systems.

Provide leadership and guidance to the finance and accounting teams.

Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.

Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. CPA, CMA, or MBA is preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of experience as a CFO, Financial Controller, or similar role within the construction industry.

Strong understanding of construction accounting principles and practices.

Proven experience in financial strategy development and execution.

Proficient in financial software and tools, with advanced Excel skills.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong computer & IT skills.

Experience in WIP accounting within a construction environment is essential.
