Pricing and Profitability Specialist

Position Overview:

The Pricing and Profitability Specialist will maintain and update critical operations documentation, including but not limited to the Model Master File, Calibration Procedures, and Accredited Datasheets with a focus on pricing accuracy and process efficiency. This role also involves calculating measurement uncertainties and calibration and measurement capabilities (CMCs) while supporting and driving technical excellence across all laboratories.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1.) Maintain and Update the Model Master File:

a. Ensure the Model Master File (MMF) is current and accurately reflects the critical instrument characteristics by classification.

b. Recommend and implement updates to MMF classifications, as needed.

2.) Create, Review, and Update Calibration Procedures (Manual & Automated):

a. Develop comprehensive calibration procedures for both manual and automated with optimal efficiency in mind.

b. Regularly review and update existing procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices while improving efficiency.

c. Work with technical teams to validate and implement new procedures.

3.) Create, Review, and Update Accredited Datasheets:

a. Generate detailed and accurate accredited datasheets for equipment and instruments.

b. Continuously review and revise accredited datasheets to maintain accuracy and relevancy as well as ease of use (efficiency).

c. Ensure datasheets comply with accredited body requirements and SIMCO standards.

4.) Calculate Measurement Uncertainties and CMCs:

a. Calculations of measurement uncertainties (MU) and Calibration Measurement Capability (CMC) using information supplied by the labs.

b. Add uncertainties to Datasheets using the applicable source of MU.

c. Drive standardization of CMCs across all of SIMCO

5.) Other duties and responsibilities, as required.

Qualifications:

Must have above-average proficiency with Microsoft Office ExcelKnowledge of Quality Management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 17025 and Z540)Knowledge of SharePoint is a plus.Knowledge of METCAL and SureCal automation is a plus.Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.Education/Experience/Training/Certifications:

Minimum AA degree, formal PMEL training, or equivalentTen years of experience in the calibration industryPhysical Demands:

Must be able to lift 45 pounds without assistance.Occasional standing and bending may be required.Work Environment:

Works primarily from home, but some projects may require the technical writer to be in the laboratory or manufacturing environment at a SIMCO location and/or customer sites.Travel may be required to other domestic and possibly international locations.
