Job Summary

Currently, we are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team at our La Crosse facility. This position will serve as a primary helpdesk contact. Responsibilities include installing and supporting desktop hardware, printers, telephones, RF terminals, barcode scanners, 2-way and CB radios, security cameras, as well as software installations and configurations. This position will provide support to end users for applications and network problems; open, track, update, escalate tickets; maintain documentation, inventories, and configurations.

This role will provide on-site support, Monday - Friday 7am-4pm CST Monday to Friday; On call rotation when fully trained.

Duties and ResponsibilitiesReceive, troubleshoot and respond to Help Desk requests via phone calls or e-mails in a 24/7 environmentSet up and maintain hardware and software including computers, printers, faxes, scanners, and projectsAct as front end support for all incoming technical issues, and gather accurate data related to the incidents reported by end users.Assist staff with installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktops, laptops, peripheral equipment and software complying with given standards and guidelinesProvide direct first line support in the testing and deployment of new policies and systemsMaintain a working inventory of most used items for desktop support. Inventory and request items as needed to maintain effective amount.Participation in Technical Services on-call rotationKnowledge of the following: Server and desktop operating systems (Windows 10 and Server 2008-2019); General networking (LAN WAN TCP/IP); Microsoft Office 2013, 2016, and O365 Suites; Full understanding of Active Directory; IT Service Management and Ticketing applications; Supporting hardware and software issuesMinimum Qualifications

Associates Degree in Information Technology, preferred1-3 years of experience, a plusDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with end usersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsStrong analytical skills that enable this person to collect information and interpret data in order to troubleshoot and solve problemsStrong customer service skillsAbility to multitask and perform work in an organized, timely mannerAbility to work independently with minimal supervision
