Minimum Qualifications
Sufficient experience to operate assigned vehicles or equipment.Ability to operate state owned vehicles with a valid driver's license.
License/Certification Required
1. Valid NC CDL with passenger endorsement2. Valid Medical Examiners Certificate
Essential Job Functions
Transport students, faculty, staff and University guests in State Owned vehicles. Safely and skillfully operates standard vehicles and/or equipment. Responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of passengers. Drives vehicles or operates equipment according to standard, established routes or set schedules. Accurately maintains standard mileage, cargo, and/or cash receipt records. Keeps vehicles or equipment clean, checks and maintains proper fluid levels. Immediately informs supervisor about problems with vehicles or equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience in the transportation industry. Must pass mandatory drug screening. Must have clean driving record.
Work Schedule/Hours
Varied schedule with some evenings and weekends required.
