We are looking for a Coffee Shop Supervisor to lead the team at Local Grind. You will work with our chef to deliver high-quality service and motivate staff to provide stellar customer service. Coffee Shop Supervisor's responsibilities include maintaining the Coffee Shop revenue, profitability, and quality goals. You will ensure efficient operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. To be successful in this role, you'll need management skills and experience in the front and back of the house. We want you to know how to oversee the dining area, check-in with customers, and balance capacity. You'll hire qualified Barristas, breakfast cook, and Wait Staff set work schedules, and make sure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations. We'll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our Coffee Shop runs smoothly and customers have a pleasant experiences.responsibilities for this position include:Responsible for scheduling, timekeeping, mid and end of season appraisals, and daily supervision of front of house staff, Accurately schedule staff to business level based on forecastHold and document daily pre-shift meetings and conduct all staff meetings as neededEnsure the health and safety of staff and customers in the caféResponsible to monitor switching equipment function strictly based on switching operation rulesProper guest service requires an employee staff that is thoroughly trained in service sequence, product knowledge, and makes every effort to meet the needs of each and every guestResponsible for cash handling, safe verification and daily deposits for multiple locationsOrdering and Inventory monthlyHandle guest concerns and react quickly and professorially communicating daily with chefMaximize revenues by communicating regularly with the outlet manager and F&B team to implement agreed upon strategies, practices, and promotionsHave full knowledge of outlet menusUphold all safety and sanitation policies in the outletSupport staff by working the busiest shifts and covering all positions when neededResponsible and efficient control on inventory and productsDaily pass-on to outlet managerFlexible days off to ensure business coverage including weekends and holidaysHold daily lineups with staff and communicative hotel and department objectivesAssist with all phases of restaurant operations, ensuring all facilities and of all areas of the cafeInterface with client representatives to fulfill catering and engagement event needOversee and assist with the sanitation of work stations including floors, worktables, walls, certificationMicrosoft Office proficiency to include Excel, word, outlook and publisher programs, POS system competency, Time Keeping competencyAbility to work and stand for extended periods of time (8-12 hours per shift)Previous experience working in food & beverage or a restaurant environment, previous experience working as a barista, preferred
