As an Electrician with the Self Perform Construction team you will have the opportunity to work on all phases of commercial construction.
Responsibilities
Working as a team with the entire Construction department, the Construction Electrician performs a new installation of: power distribution, transformers, and lighting, temporary construction power and electrical equipment up to 480 VAC.Maintaining and troubleshooting various types of electrical componentsUses complex electrical schematics and blueprints to plan work scopes, install requested improvements, and troubleshoot and correct problemsConsulting manuals, reading and interpreting diagrams, P&IDs, blueprints, and schematicsPerforms a wide variety of job scopesDisplays positive attitudes and practices good work ethics that reflects the mission, philosophy, and goals of the companyComplete tasks in a timely manner and provide feedbackRequirements
5+ years of Electrician experience in industrial or commercial settingsProficient in using hand tools, electrical meters, and testing equipmentMust possess or be able to maintain a Journeyman card within 90 daysEfficient in sizing conductors, conduits, and utilizing NEC Code BookExperienced in handling voltages from low to 480 VAC, with medium voltage experience as a plusStrong knowledge in installing and troubleshooting PLCs, motor controls, drives, and electronic componentsAbility to interpret electrical prints, install equipment, and produce parts lists, work plans, and as-built drawingsMust have written and verbal command of the English languageCompensation and BenefitsBenefits
