Miller Brother Staffing has the immediate need of an experienced Quality Control Inspector for 1st shift in Reading, PA.
Pay Rate - $19.50/hourShift- 1 st shift:Monday -Friday 7am-3:30pm
3 most important things- 1.) mechanical ability2.) past inspection experience of metal3.) use of precision measuring devicesOverviewThe Quality Inspector is part of a team responsible for ensuring products meet their required standards and are manufactured to drawing specifications.The Quality Inspector will report to the Quality Manager.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsible for raw material, WIP and finished product inspections and traceabilityMeasures parts with the use of gages and metrology toolsEnsure gages are timely calibrated and appropriate calibration records are keptAbility to interpret blueprints and specificationsDocument and summarize inspection results by recording in databases and reportsQuarantines non-conforming material and works with engineering and procurement to dispositionAbility to conduct welding pre-inspectionsAssist in training co-workers, both fulltime and temporary resources, on inspection processesEducation and Qualifications
1 - 3 years of practical inspection experienceProficient in the use of various computer programs ( i.e. Microsoft Office, CAD, Epicor)Excellent communication skills and ability to integrate with teamsKnowledge and understanding of fabrication processes (i.e. assembly, welding, material handling)Ability to troubleshoot using basic problem-solving techniquesExperience in a lean manufacturing environmentAbility to maintain a clean and organized work spaceComfortable working in a shop floor environmentAbility to work outside of regular work schedule as neededPhysical Demands- Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
