This position will serve as part of IT Partners and is responsiblefor building the College's data capacity and generating data reports andvisualizations that serve the College's functional and strategic data needs.This position will work closely with college administration across AHSincluding student services, faculty administration, marketing, and financedeveloping a culture of data-driven decision making and assistingadministrative staff with the development of sound data-related inquires andsystems.

MajorDuties and Responsibilities

Data Coordination and Support for Leadership:Engage and assist Collegeof AHS faculty and staff with understanding data and how to use it effectively.Synthesize AHS faculty andstaff needs and utilize data analytics tools while working collaboratively todeliver solutions that meet needs.Understand the breadth ofavailable administrative and academic data in the context of unit needs.Actively participate inproject activities and provide project status to stakeholders and team members.Coordinate and develop dataeducation programs to enhance data literacy among College of AHS faculty andstaff.Monitor success ofdeveloped solutions and sustain usefulness and accuracy by connecting withstakeholders on a regular basis to improve solutions as necessary.

Data Report Generation and Visualization:Use new and existing datacapacities to generate data reports, dashboards, and other data solutions,including data exports and data aggregations, to meet functional and strategicneeds.Respond to College of AHSrequests for data, meet with relevant individuals and generate ad-hoc andstandardized reports, follow established definitions and ensure consistencybetween and within units.

Data Capacity-Building and Automation:Manage College of AHS facttables and function endpoint tables, transforming from raw to usable data.Develop automations thatapply standardized definitions, filters, and cleaning to create consistent anduniversally understood data.Research and intake datafrom current and new data sources to generate additional fact and functionaltables.

Campus Collaboration:Collaborate with data staffacross campus units to develop data solutions that follow university standardsand are sustainable for the long term.Cultivate relationshipswith campus and University data professionals to serve the needs of the Collegeof Applied Health Sciences.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or afield related to the position.Two (2) years ofprofessional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience.Demonstrated experience indata analytics and/or database environments or reporting.

Preferred:

Education and/or Experience with developing dashboards usingdata visualization tools.Education and/or Experiencewith web analytics and Google analytics reporting with content strategy.Familiarity with UIUC campus administrative and academic datasets.Experience with Relational Database platforms such as SQL Server.Experience or education in the business, education, or sciencefields.Experience in a higher education environment.Experience with advanceddata analytics solutions and the use of APIs to work with data.Experience analyzing and refining data and reporting needs.

Required Knowledge, Skills, andAbilities (KSAs)Demonstrated ability to prioritizeand collaborate in a team-oriented environment.Demonstrated ability to be flexible and work well in an agileenvironment.Excellent communication and collaboration skills; including theability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Knowledge of data warehousing concepts.Drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.Knowledge of University systems.

Salary and Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time CivilService 5010D - Business Administrative Associate position, appointed on a12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after theclosing date. We strive to provide a competitive salary, consideringfactors such as available market data, internal equity, candidate experienceand qualifications, collective bargaining agreements, and budget constraints.The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000 with the final salaryoffer determined through a thorough assessment of these elements.

Hybrid work options may beavailable for this position after an initial training/probationary period, butwith the requirement that onsite availability may be needed at any time withshort notice.
