The successful candidate must have a degree or equivalent and have achieved board-eligibility or board certification in the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia or the European College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced degree(s), track record in scholarship, and prior research training.Duties:

The University of Illinois is developing a high-quality integrated anesthesia and pain management service working collaboratively to achieve tripartite excellence in service, teaching, and research. The successful candidate will be expected to provide clinical service in veterinary anesthesia and pain management, contribute to clinical instruction of residents, interns, and veterinary and graduate students, and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and referring veterinarians. Teaching responsibilities will include didactic, small group, and laboratory instruction of veterinary and graduate students. The successful candidate will continue to help develop the anesthesia and pain management program at the University of Illinois and participate in relevant research projects. Candidates interested in collaborative research will find ample opportunities to collaborate within the College of Veterinary Medicine and with investigators in other units at the University of Illinois and externally. Percent time dedicated to teaching, scholarly activities, and clinical service will be based on the successful candidate’s appointment title.Salary:
