Who We Want

Miller Industries is seeking an * Experienced Electrician - 1st Shift for our Flex Air Division on Copper Ave. in Fenton, MI. Our 1st Shift hours are Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with some overtime hours on Saturday and/or Sunday as needed for production. * This is an excellent opportunity to work at same indoor location every workday.

What You Will Be Doing

Install wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints.Install control and distribution equipment and devices, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, power distribution/temperature panels, safety devices etc.Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints.Diagnose and resolve problems in electrical circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments and equipment.Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using rulers, measuring devices, hand tools, pipe threader, and conduit bender.Ensure that equipment is installed, wired and tested to be in safe, and functional working order.

What Requirements Are Needed

Education: Minimum High School Diploma

License: 3+ years of electrical experience on commercial and industrial equipment in manufacturing environment.

Experience:

Knowledge of electrical circuits and wiring.

Knowledge of the NEC code book.

Prior experience bending EMT and Rigid conduit.

Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and written reference material.

Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
