The Charles River Center is seeking a highly skilled Assistive Technology (AT) Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a crucial link between external AT providers and our organization, ensuring that individuals receive the best support through the latest assistive technology solutions. Key Responsibilities:

Liaison & Coordination:

Serve as the primary liaison between external assistive technology providers and the Charles River Center, facilitating the seamless integration of AT solutions that help individuals achieve their personal and professional goals.Interdisciplinary Collaboration:

Work closely with specialists, staff, and clinical experts to develop and implement tailored assistive technology solutions across various environments, including day programs and residential settings.AT Device Management:

Oversee the acquisition, setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance of assistive technology devices. Provide continuous training and support to individuals, staff, and families to ensure effective use.Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure that all assistive technology assessments, plans, and staff training comply with DDS regulations.Research & Development:

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in assistive technology. Conduct device setups and demos, offering hands-on support and practical guidance.Outreach & Promotion:

Represent the Charles River Center's assistive technology program at community events, promoting the benefits of assistive technology and expanding our reach.Confidentiality & Documentation:

Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and data security. Accurately document case notes daily for billing purposes.Skills & Qualifications:

Educational Background:

A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, particularly in fields related to occupational therapy, special education, health sciences, or rehabilitation science.Experience:

Minimum of two years of experience working with persons with disabilities, with specific knowledge of assistive technology devices. Experience in developmental disabilities is highly desirable.Technical Proficiency:

Strong skills in using and training others on Apple and Microsoft products. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain various AT devices.Interpersonal & Communication Skills:

Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members. Strong writing skills for documentation and report generation.Organizational Skills:

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Capable of managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.Team Player:

Ability to work independently while being an integral part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team.Licensing:

Valid Massachusetts Driver's License and reliable personal transportation are required.Language & Physical Requirements:

Language:

Must be fluent in English, with strong reading, writing, and presentation skills. Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.Physical Demands:
