Plan new or modified installations, provides access for future maintenance, and avoids unsightly or hazardous configurations.
SALARY
$34.37 – $41.00 plus $2 shift differentialRESPONSIBILITIESConfigure wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codePrepares sketches showing location of all wiring and equipment or follow diagrams or blueprints prepared by others, insuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls and ceilings and flooringMeasure cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduitRoutes and installs wiring and outside the factorySplices wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads with knife of pliers, twisting or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal capsConnects wiring to lightning fixtures and power equipment, installs control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panelsConnects power cables to equipment, such as pumps or motorsTests continuity of circuit to insure electrical compatibility and safety of all components, using standards of instruments, such as ohmmeter, battery, and buzzer and oscilloscopeMaintains and repairs generators, motors transformers and other high voltage equipmentCommunicates orally and in writing.
