Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Electrician Journeyman Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a Secret Clearance, be a US National, and possess a high school diploma/GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The Electrician Journeyman Lead should have four (4) to seven (7) years of related experience.

Responsibilities:

Plan layout, install, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer's recommendationsPlan new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and avoid unsightly, hazardous, and unreliable wiring, consistent with specifications and local electrical codesPrepare sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follow diagrams or blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooringMeasure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using tools such as hacksaw, pipe threader, and conduit benderPull wiring through conduit, assisted by electrician helperSplice wires by stripping insulation from terminal leads, using knife or pliers, twisting, or soldering wires together, and applying tape or terminal caps per accepted codes and standardsConnect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment, using hand toolsInstall control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels, fastening in place with screws or bolts, using hand tools and power toolsConnecting power cables and ground leads to equipment and other electrical utilization equipment such as motors, HVAC units, etc.Test continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, battery and buzzer, and oscilloscopeObserve functioning of installed equipment or system to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacementMay repair faulty equipment or systemsMay provide data to Automated Information Systems (AIS)Requirements:

Must have a valid US PassportJourneyman license/certificate or equivalent is requiredPossess all of the journey level skills, having verifiable minimum experience and/or holds an accepted certification, license, and/or degreeUsually considered the most experienced, highest skilled professional in their respective fieldMay provide supervision for a specific crewRequires little or no supervision
