Job Description:We are seeking a skilled Electrician Master to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in planning layouts, installing, and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer's recommendations.
Responsibilities:
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, fixtures, apparatus, and control equipmentEnsure installations minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance, and comply with specifications and local electrical codesPrepare sketches or follow diagrams/blueprints for installationsMeasure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduitPull wiring through conduit with assistance from an electrician helperSplice wires by stripping insulation, twisting/soldering wires, and applying tape or terminal caps per codes and standardsConnect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand toolsInstall control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panelsFasten apparatus in place with screws or bolts using hand and power toolsConnect power cables and ground leads to equipment and other electrical utilization equipmentTest continuity of circuits using testing instruments to ensure compatibility and safety of componentsObserve functioning of installed equipment/systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacementMay repair faulty equipment or systemsRequirements:
High school diploma / GED equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experienceFive (5) to eight (8) years related experienceJourneyman or Master license/certificate or equivalentAbility to work independently with little or no supervisionExcellent knowledge, skill level, and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions
