Job Summary:

The Electrical Superintendent oversees and coordinates the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer's recommendations. They plan layouts, ensure efficient material usage, and provide access for future maintenance while adhering to specifications and local electrical codes. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead and supervise multiple craft crews.

Responsibilities:

Plan layout, installation, and repair of wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment according to codes and standards.Minimize material waste, ensure future maintenance access, and maintain compliance with specifications and local codes.Prepare sketches, follow diagrams, or blueprints to determine wiring and equipment locations.Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit using appropriate tools.Pull wiring through conduit with assistance from electrician helpers.Splice wires, connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment using hand tools.Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels.Connect power cables and ground leads to equipment and other electrical utilization devices.Test circuit continuity and safety of components using testing instruments.Observe functioning of installed equipment/systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments or replacement.Repair faulty equipment or systems as needed.Qualifications:

Journeyman license/certificate or equivalent required.Possession of all foreman skills with verifiable minimum experience and/or relevant certifications, licenses, or degrees.Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead multiple craft crews.Extensive experience in electrical installation, repair, and maintenance.Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety procedures.bility to work independently with minimal supervision.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.This role offers an opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced electrical professional to take on a leadership position and make significant contributions to project success.
