Position Description

Under the guidance and support of the IRISE headquarters, the Director of the IRISE Monmouth and Ocean County Regional Office will oversee all aspects of resettling refugees from pre-arrival planning, core services as well as ongoing, long-term support. The position will lead the Office's job readiness and job development initiatives, building links with key employers throughout the Monmouth-Ocean County region to facilitate self-sufficiency goals for our IRISE clients. The Director will also conduct regular outreach to other local community and government partners, including social service and donor agencies, and volunteer partners in coordination with staff to give direct and indirect support to all arriving refugees, SIVs and asylees welcomed by the agency and resettled in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

This position will report to the Executive Director of Interfaith-RISE.

Responsibilities

Oversee local I-RISE staff in providing case management, employment and English language learning, volunteer and donations and interns to ensure seamless and coordinated efforts and services to support refugeesLead job readiness and job development initiatives while promoting robust partnerships with local employers to identify quality, long term job and skilled training opportunities for IRISE's diverse refugee client base.Conduct community partnership outreach initiatives to support IRISE refugee clients, including volunteer outreach to locate volunteers to assist clients with transportation, goods donations, tutoring, accompaniment and targeted, compassionate communities in support of clients.In coordination with IRISE's Director of Case Management, provide high-quality case management services for all arriving refugees.Collaborate with and oversee the Office's staff compliance with the Leasing and Finance departments for housing, budgets, other client and staff functions.Coordinate program components including service, data collection, and reporting for all IRISE-funded refugee assistance programs.Ensure all volunteers are compliant with the Safe Agency Policy.Serve as the local public face of the agency, interacting with volunteers, coalition members and the public, to positively enhance the organization's mission.Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

College degree in public administration, social work or equivalent work experience. At least two years' experience working in a non-profit or government social service or job development agency. Experience working with community and business partners in Monmouth and Ocean Counties preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience working with diverse populations, including non-English speaking clients, and individuals from various faith, cultural, and social backgrounds. Ability to multi-task and creatively problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel in the Monmouth and Ocean County region. Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
