MWC is a state of the art cheese and whey production facility in St. Johns, MI. MWC is a joint venture between Glanbia Nutritionals, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) and Select Milk Producers Inc. (Select).

Job Summary

Ensure that all environmental cleaning assigned to positions is completed.

Essential FunctionsResponsible for the total operation of the sanitation shifts. Supported by Shift Production ManagerEnsures adherence to sanitation scheduleEnsures completion of periodic equipment and infrastructural cleaningResponsible for completed chemical checks and ensuring that the information is recorded in the computerCoordinate with Quality to provide verification & validation on product contact surfaces prior to starting operationsUnderstands the use and importance of PPEWorking knowledge of each chemical used in the cheese plant including how to use and when to useWorking knowledge of all CIP circuits and what is washed by each circuitMonitors CIP to ensure proper operationAble to perform Titration testing on all chemicals used in Cheese plant cleaning activities as determined by the chemical supplierAble to perform Titration testing on foot foamersAbility to disassemble tank vents and clean with acidCleans around CIP tank manhole openings, the inside of the door and door gasketCleans outside of tanks and platform and inspects for leaksIdentifies soiled CIP tanks and performs a tank dumpAbility to CIP the CIP supply tanksIdentifies leaks and/or losses and begins corrective actionsRespirator training and certificationWorking knowledge of all sanitation cleaning tasksReplenish appropriate needed cleaning chemicalsFoam area around foot foamersRefill hand sanitizersCulture freezers wipe down topsCulture room sweep & mopCulture room pick-up areaSweep salt roomInspect CIP Centers for leaks at pumps, valves, etcFoam vacuum pump room floors and clean drain pansFoam 2000 CIP Room (floor)Foam 3000, 4000 CIP (floor)Sanitize all water hose nozzlesTitrate doorway sanitizersCleans Cheese officesResponsible for deep cleaning of the cheese areaUtilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses, and upholds the culture of MWC non-negotiables.Each employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act, which are applicable to his/her own actions and conduct.Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance)Delivering on Glanbia's Values:

May be exposed to loud noise levels (i.e. manufacturing equipment).May be exposed to humidity, intense heat, and areas with possible air contamination, fumes and toxic chemicals.May work in areas with mechanical moving parts, above ground with risk of fall, or areas with risk of electrical shock.Travel Requirements
