Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Compliance Assistant to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY:

The Compliance Assistant performs routine administrative and compliance tasks, as directed by the Director of Compliance, including but not limited to: Receiving, reviewing, disseminating and storing documentation; Various reporting; Tasks related to Contract Management and Patient Experience; Acts as support for: Data analytics; Research studies; Contracted Employees and special Compliance projects.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs routine compliance tasks, as directed, including but not limited to: receiving, reviewing, storing and disseminating documentation, reporting, tasks related to contract management & patient experience, act as support for data analytics, research studies, contracted employees and special compliance projects.Acts as back-up administrative support for Director of ComplianceCreating and updating Excel and Word documents.Assisting with Confidential projects and documents, while maintaining confidentiality.Organizing and maintaining department based files and records, including uploading and organizing documents in a document management system and/or other designated locations.Assist in preparing for and responding to routine reviews/audits; preparing materials for compliance reporting; review content for accuracy and consistency.Perform administrative functions for assigned Compliance staff and management.Assisting with formatting of presentations, spreadsheets and word documents.Monitoring the quality and regulatory standards in the delivery of support services.Assist in the administrative management and compliance oversight of a portfolio of contracts.Perform research on various compliance related matters as they arise from internal and external inquiries and document research.Serve as a resource for department managers, staff, physicians and administration.As directed, assisting in the scoping and delivery of reports & reviews as part of the overall Compliance Program to A) ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, and B) to provide assurance to Senior Management and monitor and drive improvements with respect to the Organizations overall operational goals.As directed, interacting and communicating with internal departments & external parties such as Legal, Provider Relations, Corporate Development, Accounting, State Surveyors etc.Provide administrative support and perform administrative responsibilities including scanning, copying, faxing, filing, data entry, for various projects.As directed, maintain up-to-date knowledge of compliance issues and regulations related to the healthcare industry, annual coding updates and frequent regulatory changes.Assist in on-boarding process of 1099/Non-employees.Monitor for proper and complete documentation for various Compliance projects, Contact Management and Clinical Research Study proposals.Other tasks and projects, as assigned/directed.

Qualifications

Education/Certification : High School Graduate, some college experience preferred

Experience : Administrative/Office procedures; experience working in the medical field; Basic knowledge of Quality/Compliance; Research techniques

Equipment/Technology : Proficient Microsoft office skills and computer skills; Technical knowledge/understanding of digital environment

Language/Communication : Excellent Communication Skills

Mathematical Skills : Basic math skills required; advanced math skills desired

Mental Capabilities : Organized and Self Motivated; Uses good judgement and logic; Excellent attention to detail

Interpersonal : Ability to deal confidently and positively with all levels of Staff, both face-to-face and over phone and through email/correspondence
