Trilogy Innovations is seeking Senior Systems Administrator with DB2 experience to remotely support our federal customer located in Clarksburg, WV. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team, while taking part in a multi-year initiative to modernize our federal customer's large-scale IT systems. This role requires at least a Secret Security Clearance, and primary work location is remote.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems.System administrator will ensure the uptime, performance, resources, and security of thecomputers they manage meet the needs of the users.Primary responsibility is the operations and maintenance of the legacy systems mainframe (IBM z14) infrastructure, compute, and storage platform.Installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance of zOS operating system, CICS, DB2 Relational Database Management System, IBM Products and Utilities, CA/Broadcom tools, BMC Product Suite.System monitoring and reporting.Performance monitoring, analysis and tuning.Pervasive Encryption.Role
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of work experience.Active Tier 3 Secret clearance.Experience with IBM z 14Experience with DB2 Relational Database Management System, requiredExperience with, CICS, zOS operating system, IBM Products and Utilities, CA/Broadcom tools, BMC Product Suite, preferred.High-level objects include, but are not limited to the following:
Migrate all current-system functionality from the mainframes and operate within a cloud-based environment (AWS GovCloud)Incorporate modern name search capabilities.Expand image handling to accept larger files and support additional file formats, such as PDF.Transition investigative search to Elasticsearch, providing a faster response and report creation time for law enforcement.Build new services to follow a microservices architecture and run within containers using the OpenShift platformTransition database functionality from IBM DB2 to the appropriate cloud data store.Update NIEM schemas and IEPDs to allow agencies to use updated functionality and speed up the dot-delimited message format retirement.Why work for Trilogy Innovations?
