Holzer Health System is seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiology Section Chief.Practice DetailsMostly supervision of CRNAs with some independent casesDiverse case mix - Orthopedics, ENT, General Surgery, Cath Lab, OB/GYN, Podiatry, GI, and Pediatrics (healthy only)Regional skills requiredFantastic work environment with great support staffHome base will be in Gallipolis in outpatient setting, but some inpatient will be requiredOpportunity to work with residents and medical studentsSection Chief DutiesEnsure regulatory compliance for anesthesia service, which may involve attending or running meetings as appropriateProvide medical oversight of the CRNAs in both the ambulatory and acute settingRotate as site manager between acute and ambulatory sites as required by the Medical DirectorProvide support to the Medical Director and Department Director/Manager which may include but is not limited to the following:

Assisting with long and short-term planning efforts for anesthesia serviceReviewing and developing policies and procedures that affect anesthesiaProviding advice and direction to medical and administrative staff in the development of policies promoting quality and efficient medical care and quality as it relates to the service lineParticipating in provider recruiting activitiesAttending medical and operational leadership meetings as requested
