What you'll do:
SUMMARY:TheYard Truck Driver is responsible for tracking and maintaining the sea containerand semi-trailer yard and supporting production flow by ensuring the assemblyline is appropriately prepped / spotted for company's Isuzu N-Gas product line.
JOBRESPONSIBILITIES:Manage all aspects of the parts lot - sea containers and semi-trailersInspect inbound containers and trailers for damage and communicate back toIsuzu supply chainManage paperwork and communicate to drivers which containers are being returnedDeliver containers and trailers to production facility based on build scheduleDocument inbound/outbound containers and trailers and communicate to Isuzusupply chain dailyAdhere to all relevant safety standardsDemonstrate ability to perform various tasks with-in a fast-paced environmentManage hourly and daily needs for the process at handResponsible for vehicle inspection and maintenance logsSchedule equipment repairs, as neededIdentify issues/bottle necks in day-to-day operations and respond in a timelyand decisive mannerMaintain organization of the yard, catering to the needs of production with anemphasis on safetyUnderstand the sequence and priority of each dock / shipmentIdentify and communicate parts shortagesInitiate process improvementsWork in proximity with customer, as neededSolve complex problems with minimal assistanceObtainand maintain a valid fork truck/stand up license - including completion ofdaily maintenance log and proper maintenance of equipmentOther tasks as assigned
What you need to be successful:
QUALIFICATIONS:Possess a CDL Class A with medical card, or be willing to obtain as neededExcellent attendance and safety recordPositive attitudeStrong and consistent attention to detailSelf-motivated with the ability to stay on taskTeam orientedExcellent communication skillsStrong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skillsUnderstanding and working knowledge of operations within the productionfacilityCapable of comprehensive listening (understanding the message(s) that is beingcommunicated)Basic computer skills are requiredWilling to:oLearn and rotate within all areas and plantsoImprove self / area / company (including pursuing additional training, ifneeded)oDevelop a working knowledge of company's systems (example: AS/400)Able to:oManage priorities and workflowoWork a flexible scheduleoWork overtime on short noticeoEmbrace changeoWork in adverse weather conditionsoAdjust to physical demands of position
