Position Description:

We are looking for a hydrologist to join at the Grants Reclamation Project (GRP) closure site team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the groundwater monitoring program at the site in addition to supporting all environmental programs and regulatory compliance obligations.

Responsibilities:Support the closure manager by performing advanced technical hydrogeologic analysis, making strategic operational and closure recommendations, and leading and mentoring technical staffEnsure that the required hydrogeologic data is collected, compiled, analyzed, interpreted, and applied for effective and accurate communication to stakeholders and managementOversee preparation and timely submittal of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports related to hydrogeologic data in accordance with reporting requirementsEnsure that hydrogeologic work is budgeted, forecasted, and communicated appropriately for all projectsAssist with water management strategies and data managementEnsure conformance with site-specific Nuclear Regulatory Commission License SUA-1471, New Mexico Environmental Department Permit DP-200 permit requirements, and Standard Operating ProceduresAssist other personnel in achieving site objectivesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:

A bachelor's degree in hydrogeology, geology, hydrology, civil engineering (or similar) is

requiredFive (5) to Ten (10) years of experience in groundwater remediation is

preferredFamiliarity with water well systems, hydraulic flow, and well field balancing is

preferredKnowledge of advanced principles and practices employed in hydrogeology and hydrology

preferredExperience with environmental monitoring and compliance principles

preferredAbility to prepare technical communications and effectively communicate results to various levels of expertise

requiredDemonstrated ability to operate independently and in small multi-disciplinary teams

requiredFamiliarity with hydrogeologic modeling techniques is

preferredExcellent computer skills (eg. MS Office, EQuIS, GIS or other data management/computer programs)
