Performs examinations and provides treatment to minor/routine problems; performs or orders diagnostic test; establishes diagnosis; prescribes medication; instructs patients and family members about continuing care.Position Reports To:
Practice ManagerResponsibilities:Provide specialized health care to patients. Examination, diagnosis, and treatment of both chronic and acute episodic illnesses and minor injuries. Refers to physician as needed. Writes prescriptions and performs office procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.Writes prescriptions and performs procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.Educates patients and families and helps them understand issues related to physical and emotional health and promotes wellness.Maintains accurate and complete patient records in compliance with organizational policy.Refers patients to specialty services when appropriate.Provides professional medical services within the scope of training and responsibility, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and organizational policies.Support physicians with on-call responsibilities and hospital rounds.Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.Other duties as assigned.Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times.Qualifications:Required:Active or Interim Washington State Physician Assistant licensure, required by start date.Desired:Related experience.
