Job Description - Tech Support Specialist 1 Labs (21004312) **Job Description**Tech Support Specialist 1 Labs - ( 21004312 ) **Description**Technical Support Specialist 1Labs assists in the operations and technical functions of the TECH Center and HSC TECH Center, providing first and second level support. Works with other full-time employees to oversee lab operations. At times, will supervise student worker on the same shift, and other times will work with other full-time staff to manage the lab, specialty areas of the lab, and lab related systems. Assists with imaging computers, setting up labs, and investigating new technologies. Will also train students in using specialized resources from an established training program. Will be assigned other lab technical areas/systems and will be responsible for learning the operations in those areas. Responsible for emergency calls during scheduled on call hours during nights/weekends.Regularly scheduled hours will be 1pm-10pm Mondays-Thursdays, 10:00am-7pm Saturdays. The schedule will change during breaks, summer, intersession periods, and the regular schedule may change depending on university needs, or if coverage is needed during a weather emergency. This is an on-premises position on main campus that may occasionally rotate to the HSC TECH Center. PC and Mac hardware and software troubleshooting experience.Experience with mobile device troubleshooting and configuration.
