Our driver is responsible for the cleanliness and standard maintenance of delivery vehicles as well as observing company safety procedures.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include** the following. Other duties may be assigned:* Operate and maintain company provided vehicle in accordance with state driving laws, along with all company safety policies & procedures.* Responsible for accurate delivery and/or pick up of goods to our customers, vendors, and contractors.* Establish and maintain professional relationships with business delivery contacts and ensure questions are accurately answered.* Physically load and unload cargo when required.* Maintain accurate transportation logs including mileage, cargo reports, and vehicle inspection reports on a daily basis.* Utilize navigation apps to find the most optimal routes and directions for the day.* Keep the vehicle clean and properly maintained.* Ensure safety and satisfaction are priorities.* Maintain sufficient gas in the vehicle so its always ready for use.* Picking up office purchases or other administrative needs.* Neat and professional appearance required.* In the event there are no deliveries or pick up, serve as back up in the Local Production department.* Must be able to pick up 45 lbs.**Experience and Skills:****Competency:**To perform the job successfully, and individual should demonstrate the ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds, teams and contribute to building a positive team spirit. Individual must be able to work a full-time schedule, including overtime as needed.**SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:**To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Individual must have experience using GPS, Google Maps and other navigation apps. Excellent Organizational and time management skills needed. Strong verbal communication required.**Education/Experience:**High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.**Language Ability:**Must have English as primary language of business with secondary languages a plus. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. The person must possess the ability to speak effectively before employees of organization and must possess strong written and verbal communication skills to deal with various levels of management and employees within the organization and vendors.**Computer Skills:**N/A**Supervisory Responsibilities:**This job has no supervisory responsibilities.**License:**Valid driver's license with a history of no suspensions or at fault accidents within the last three years, no DUI/DWI within the past seven years, and no more than one moving violation within the last three years.**OTHER****Work Environment:**The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
