A health services organization in California is looking to add a licensed Physician Assistant (PA) to their Primary Care team. In this role, the Physician Assistant (PA) will be responsible for assessing and evaluating the healthcare needs of patients as well as performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Responsibilities:
The Physician Assistant (PA) will:Assess the clinical status of patientsTake patient histories and perform complete physical examinations of patientsOrder and perform laboratory and screening tests in accordance with approved protocols or standardized proceduresConsult with the Physician Supervisor as necessary and refer cases as appropriateFormulate clinical assessment based upon clinical findings, plans, and coordinates careRecommend and/or administer treatment or medications as approvedProvide and evaluate patient care according to adopted protocols and quality assurance program criteriaParticipate in on-going evaluation, quality assurance, required trainings, peer review, provider meetings and other clinical meetingsEducate patients regarding health and illness prevention; recommend community resources to meet patient and family needsPerform other duties, as neededQualifications:
CA Physician Assistant (PA) licenseBoard Eligible / CertifiedCPR certificationDEA license / registrationSolid assessment and documentation skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)
