Telecon is looking for an energetic and career minded individual to lead our Sales and Business Development function as Head of Sales.

This role will be responsible for overseeing the Sales and Business Development function for the US market. This person will be responsible for developing and implementing a Sales strategy, overseeing a team of Account Manaers and ensuring the successful growth of our Operations across the US market.

Responsibilities:

Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company's sales targets.Prepare forecasts and KPI reporting for the sales function for use in organizational planning, financial forecasting, budget setting and strategic planning.Developing and implementing strategic plans for actualizing sales targets.Motivating and inspiring the Account manager team to meet sales targets that match the company's goals.Review RFPs to identify key technical design requirements and provide technical guidance on the company's ability to accommodate customer requests and deliver a compliant solution.Attend customer meetings with Sales to ensure our capabilities are accurately and effectively being communicated to the customer.Become a product/process expert and provide regular ongoing consulting to new and existing customers and partners.Create/design customized solutions for customers and internal leadership which consist of logical drawings, fiber route maps, statements of work, and other items as needed for face-to-face customer sales presentations.Provide sales support and present our product/solutions at regular customer meetings and vendor events.Maintain expert knowledge of current and future OSP equipment and construction practices in access network technologies including FTTx, HFC, Remote-Phy etc.Evaluate and qualify inside/outside plant engineering and construction economics of each opportunity.Perform duties in a partnership with Network engineering and Operations teams to guarantee successful deployments.Oversee the estimating steps within our CRM to ensure timely and accurate results.Establish and foster partnerships and relationships with key customers both externally and internally.Other duties may be assigned.Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a sales team, setting a direction and developing KPI's.Minimum of 10 years of prior work experience within a similar industry doing sales/business development.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, vendors, outside agencies and customers.Possess extensive knowledge of sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them.Strong financial/business acumen.Highly organized, detail oriented.Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, and multi-task across several assignments.Ability to think creatively and work well under pressure.Strong customer interface skills.Strong presentation skills, and excellent written and verbal communications skills.Self-starter - able to work independently with limited supervision.Ability to read engineering drawings and prints.Possess well developed organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills.Be able to operate in a high paced and evolving environment.IS THIS YOU?
